Hafizh Syahrin Joining S1K With Team HI-REV SIC Dream Chaser

HI-REV and SIC shares the same vision and has embarked on a mission to develop talents under their Talent Development initiatives. In 2018 HI-REV launched a HI-REV Young Talent Program which saw 20-year old Adam Khalid benefitted from this program competed in the Malaysia Championship Series 2018 and Sepang 1000km 2018 with impressive results. Scoring a double P2 in Round 4 of the MCS and 2nd overall in S1K earned him the opportunity to be selected for the shootout for SIC Talent Development Program; with the winner getting a sponsored seat in TCR Asia. In 2019, Adam was selected ahead of other top racing talents in the shootout to represent SIC in the TCR Asia 2019 series.

 

With the cooperation of SIC, HI-REV will be looking at development of more local talents in future. Malaysia’s biggest name in motorcycle racing, Hafizh Syahrin is the latest addition in HI-REV and SIC talent initiatives. Hafizh Syahrin will switch from two wheels to four wheels to take part in the biggest endurance race in Malaysia, the Sepang 1000km (S1K) Endurance Race from November 22 to November 24 with team HI-REV SIC Dream Chaser, the team that was awarded with Best National Team of 2018.

 

The local motorcycle racing champion, who has completed the 2019 MotoGP season, will be put on to test his racing skills in a race prepared Toyota Vios car number 910. Hafizh Syahrin will be partnering the young and talented Alister Yoong, the son of Malaysia’s first Formula 1 driver Alex Yoong, together with Bradley Benedict Anthony who is a 17 years old new rising star in Malaysia motorsport. The Sepang 1000km Endurance Race will be Hafizh Syahrin’s first competitive four-wheel appearance to prepare him for his race in FIA World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) to be held at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) from December 13 to 15.

 

Team HI-REV SIC Dream Chaser drivers; Adam Khalid will be piloting a Suzuki Swift in the MTC class together with the two brothers in racing: Gilbert Ang and Freddie Ang. Ady Rahimy, the overall champion of Malaysia Championship Series 2019, will be partnering with young 15 years old Hayden Haikal in a SP2 class Suzuki Swift ZC32s. Angeline Lee and Siti Shahkirah will be partnering in a Toyota Vios to form an all lady team competing in the Toyota Vios One Make Race category. Both Ady and Angeline were 2018 e-MCS champion and SIC Talent Development Programme drivers.
