Tuesday, 12 August 2025 – The PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia 2025 (MotoGP™ Malaysia) was officially launched this evening at TRX City Park, Kuala Lumpur. Organised by PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit (PETRONAS SIC), the event was officiated by YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth & Sports Malaysia, and attended by stakeholders including sponsors, industry partners and the media.
Scheduled to take place from 24 to 26 October 2025, this year marks 34 years since Malaysia joined the global MotoGP™ calendar. It will also be the 26th edition held at PETRONAS SIC, making it Malaysia’s longest-running international sporting event.
Azhan Shafriman Hanif, Chief Execu_ve Officer of PETRONAS SIC shared, “With 184,923 spectators in 2024 and a target of 200,000 this year, MotoGP™ Malaysia con_nues to strengthen its posi_on as one of the region’s premier spor_ng spectacles. We have already reached 75% of our _cket capacity and this year we are introducing exci_ng enhancements to the fan experience, including our firstever pre-race electronic dance music (EDM) fes_vals. In addi_on, RM1 from every _cket sold will be channelled to the Kumpulan Wang Amanah Sukan Negara (KWASN) to support the Motorsports Development Programme, reflec_ng our long-term commitment to nurturing talent while delivering world-class experiences.”

As part of the support for the Malaysia MADANI agenda, PETRONAS SIC continues its Tiket Rahmah initiative, offering K2 Hillstand tickets at just RM49.90, ensuring motorsports remains accessible to all. In conjunction with the launch, a ‘Buy 1 Free 1’ promotion for Tiket Rahmah is available for 24 hours only, starting at 12.00 pm on 12 August.
For the first _me ever, MotoGP™ Malaysia will be preceded by two large-scale EDM fes_vals, held in collabora_on with Hi-Five Entertainment and Neon Projects. The fes_vi_es kick off on 18
October with the debut of "HARDTECH" and followed by the Malaysian premiere of the globally renowned Transmission Fes_val on 19 October, themed “The Awakening.” These landmark fes_vals are expected to aoract thousands of interna_onal fans, crea_ng a major economic, cultural, and tourism boost in the lead-up to Race Week.
Beyond the exhilarating race action, fans can look forward to a vibrant line-up of off-track activities. Race Week officially kicks off on 21 October with a bike parade and riders meet-and-greet at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya. On 24 and 25 October, fans can enjoy the Public Pit Lane Walk and Riders’ Autograph Session, while the Night Track Tour makes its popular return on 24 October.
Adding to the excitement, the MotoGP™ Mega Carnival will feature over 100 leading lifestyle and motorsport brands, family-friendly activities, F&B, and entertainment, making it more than just a race, but a festival for all ages. Fan favourites such as Rider Parade and Hero Walk will take place on 25 and 26 October.
Lucky fans can also stand a chance to win an Aprilia RS457 motorcycle worth RM33,900 through the #MalaysianGP2025 Mega Lucky Draw, open to Grandstand ticket holders only and the winner will be announced during race weekend.
