Wednesday, 24 September 2025 – PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is proud to announce that Malaysia’s own Hakim Danish will make his Moto3™ wildcard debut at the PETRONAS GRAND PRIX OF MALAYSIA 2025 (MotoGP™ Malaysia), taking place from 24 to 26 October 2025.
This marks a historic milestone in Danish’s career and Malaysian motorsport. Having proven his ability on the international stage, he will now take the next step, competing against the world’s best on home soil in front of Malaysian fans.
Azhan Shafriman Hanif, Chief Executive Officer of SIC said, “Danish has truly earned this wildcard. Three years after Syarifuddin Azman (Damok), Malaysians will once again witness one of our own competing in Moto3™ with SIC. This is going to be more than just a race. Danish represents the very best of our motorsports development (MDEV) blueprint, having risen from grassroots all the way to the world stage. He is, without doubt, one of the best Malaysian talent of his generation. I invite every motorsport fan to come to Sepang, fill the grandstands, and together, let’s cheer for our future champion at the MotoGP™ Malaysia.”
Danish’s journey is a testament to SIC’s commitment to nurturing Malaysian motorsports talent. Beginning at the grassroots level SIC MiniGP Championship, he progressed through the Asia Talent Cup, European Talent Cup, Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and FIM JuniorGP World Championship, consistently excelling and delivering results that highlight his worldclass potential.
