Dato' Mohid bin Mohamed

Dato' Mohid bin Mohamed, 53, is currently the Acting Chief Secretary to the Youth and Sports Ministry.

Born in 1957 in Batu Pahat, Johor, he graduated from Universiti Malaya and joined government services as a administrative and diplomatic officer at the Ministry of Home Affairs in 1981.

Since then, he had served in various government agencies in various capacities, which included Secretary of State Security and Director Anti-Drug Task Force, Sabah in 1987. He had also served as the Director of the Negeri Sembilan Immigrations Department in 2001.
He began serving in the Youth and Sports Ministry in 2003 and was awarded the Darjah Dato' Paduka Tuanku Ja'afar (DPTJ) which carries the title 'Dato' in 2008.
He is married to Datin Abidah Sani and is the father of four children.
