Karting is motor sport in its purest form, not only the simplest way to experience the pure adrenaline of driving racing machinery but also the platform for all the world's greatest driving talent. This is where Formula 1 drivers start out and we are offering the opportunity for schools, colleges and universities to be part of and compete against the F1 champions of today at the Sepang International Circuit first official F1 Fun Kart Race.
The opportunity is open to all colleges registered in Malaysia in which each college is allowed to send a maximum total of 10 students per institution for this challenge. First come, first serve basis.
Out of the 10 who compete, in one of the two qualifying sessions taking place on March 21 and March 28, the top three of each heat, will qualify for the race at the Sepang Go-Kart Circuit on April 2.
"This is a great opportunity for students to get closers to their racing heroes and teams and also learn racing first hand," said SIC Media Manager Irwan A. Rahman.
If your colleges doesn't want to miss the once in a lifetime opportunity, please download the application documents from www.sepangcircuit.com or please contact amanda@khpconsulting.com.
"This year marks the 11th anniversary of the circuit and with a new image as we approach the next decade, we have put more emphasis on our social responsibility."
"SIC is also the Home of Malaysian Motorsports and the programme falls under the 'Taking Motorsports to Schools' so it's only natural to allow students this opportunity absolutely free of charge," added Irwan, who urges colleges and university representatives to log on to www.sepangcircuit.com for more info on the registration.
