08 March 2010, BY Sepang International Circuit
Beat the jam and just enjoy the ride when you come to watch the 2010 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) come this April 4.

Following a good response from the fans, SkyBus, has been named the official bus for the Grand Prix, while ERL will be the official rail link.
SkyBus, the famous red bus which issued shuttles to the Low Cost Carrier Terminal, will provide a special direct service to the Sepang International Circuit from various points in the Klang Valley.

“We used SkyBus and ERL services last year to transport fans to the venue and back and they did a good job for that we have engaged them again this year,” said SIC CEO Razlan Razali.

The SkyBus service will begin from April 2-4 and will start as early as 8am while the return from the track will begin from 4pm except on race day which will start from 6pm. Fees have been priced between RM4 to RM15 depending on the pickup points.
Meanwhile for a faster option to the track, ERL, provides the quickest option to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, has come up with easy packages for fans.
For the three (3) race days (April 2-4), the public will be able to buy day passes to the track.

For all three (3) days, a pass for one will be priced at RM120, in which applies for a trip to and back from the circuit.
A two day pass will only be RM90 and all the passes will include transfer service from KLIA to the circuit. For one trip the ERL service will set you back RM25 per trip. Package holders can get a discount when they use the feeder bus to go to KL Sentral.

"SIC is glad to be working with SkyBus and ERL to provide easier, cheaper and possibly faster options to the track.”

For the fans that are driving to SIC, they must have the parking sticker which can be purchased at the same place as they get their ticket, no sticker means no entry to the circuit area. Park indiscriminately and you will be fined and your car will be towed away. 500 traffic police will be on hand to help traffic flow on that race weekend so watch out.

Or you can drive to the long term parking near KLIA for RM30 a day and take the feeder bus to SIC for RM10 per trip.

But race fans are encouraged to take advantage of the services SkyBus and ERL is doing as parking is very limited.

“Fans are advised  to come over to SIC early as the race starts at 4pm this year, catch the various side events planned like the driver’s autograph session and classic car display," added Razlan.
