Boy “Wonder” Wong Yew Choong will be smiling on the starting grid tomorrow as he starts round 4 of the Malaysian Super Series (MSS) at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) on pole position.

A favorite to win the Supersixteen Championship again this year Boy was taking it easy with his Honda Civic race machine on practice only clocking 1:17.116 managing seventh only.

Come qualifying it was full throttle for Boy shaving more than 2 seconds clocking 1:15.099. In second spot is Firhat Yuri Mokhzani followed by Shazull Hisham Harun and Teo Kia Chai.

Closest challenger in the Champion points, just 15 points away, Kok Pak Chiang only manage to settle in the ninth spot and this may mean an early win for Wong.

In the Super Saloon race, championship leader Erwan Aziz failed to set a good start for the weekend as he starts the race tomorrow from the second last spot on the starting grid in ninth position thanks to a non performing machine due to technical difficulty.

However Erwan can still hold on to his lead if he can get the car going tomorrow but also thanks to a massive 50 point advantage over his closes challenger.

It does not look good for Wira Dani in the Supercars category as he is starting the race in third spot behind Dilantha Malagamuwa who is trailing him (Wira) by just 17 points in the Championship. In pole position is Mok Weng Sun.

Catch the action on Sunday, 4th October at SIC, entrance is free but if you want to get really close to the action paddock passes are going at RM50 and parking charges as low as RM5 for cars and RM2 for motorcycles.
