ATCS is Support Race for MSS in June
Asia's major racing series - the Asian Touring Car Series (ATCS) has been incorporated as a support race for the Malaysian Super Series in June and will not feature at the 2008 Super GT International Series Malaysia, which will be held at Sepang Circuit from June 20 to 22.

The ATCS, which would feature top Malaysian drivers like Eddie Lew, Eric Yeo, Tunku Hammam, Harry Chai and Sharjihan Ghouse, would run two races - rounds 4 and 5 - at the third round of the Malaysian Super Series scheduled from June 13 to 15.

"The Super GT race in Malaysia, however, would still have five support races which is the Asian GT Challenge, the Asian Formula Renault Challenge, the Formula BMW Pacific and the Asian Supercar Championship along with the main Super GT race," says SIC Press Officer Azhar Ghazali.

It was announced yesterday that the ATCS would be among the five support races for the 2008 Super GT Race Malaysia, which will be the fourth round of a nine-leg Super GT International Series this year.

Azhar added that fans could even catch the ATCS at Sepang Circuit even as early as next month at the Asian Festival of Speed from May 16 to 18 where the opening three rounds of the ATCS would be run. Apart from Sepang, the series would be run in Sentul, Indonesia; Bira, Thailand; Chengdu in China and in Macau.
